Emily Schrader Launches “From the Frontline”
A Trusted Source for Middle East News, Analysis, and Insight
Award-winning Israeli-American journalist and activist Emily Schrader announced the launch of From the Frontline with Emily Schrader, a new publication that provides sharp, clear, and context-driven news, analysis, and commentary for American and European readers on the most important stories from one of the world’s most consequential, but misunderstood regions– Middle East.
Readers will enjoy stories, live Q/As, interviews, and more every week that will help them to bypass the biased narratives that dominate legacy media to hear directly from Emily, who brings the unique perspective of someone who understands the perspective of her readers as well as the context of her stories.
Weekly content will include a feature called “Inside Iran,” that will demystify a nation that has lived under the dark shadow of oppression for more than a generation, as well as content that frames Israel as a significant international actor called “Israel Global.”
Every Friday Emily will break down a story that appears in the mainstream media pointing out what they got wrong and what they got right in “Bias Brief.” And the week will round out with “Emily in Tel Aviv,” which will provide a look over Emily’s shoulder to see what she is reading, listening to, and watching to help her better understand the world.
“This publication is not about reacting to headlines,” says Emily. “It is about building a sustained, serious look into one of the most significant regions in the world through a lens that appreciates its diversity, religion, and the geopolitical reality on the ground.”

I look forward to reading more of your insights.
Glad to have you on Substack, Emily. Welcome.
